Itinerary:

8:15am-3pm Paddling the Tuckaseegee River

We're paddling the Tuckaseegee River Gorge from the Dillsboro Park put-in to Smoky Mountain River Adventures (just above Barker's Creek parking lot).

We've arranged for a bus to depart Asheville at 8:30am and return at 3pm for this event. We'll meet in the Smoky Park Supper Club parking lot in the River Arts District at 8:15am. There is plenty of space to leave a car there for the period of time we're paddling. 

We would love for as many people as possible to ride the bus. It makes our logistics a lot easier. If for some reason you don't want to ride the bus you are welcome to meet us at Smoky Mountain River Adventures at 9:30am. 

If you are brining your own boat you will need to transport it to the put-in. Smoky Mountain River Adventures will help with the shuttle. 

We're working with Smoky Mountain River Adventure to get most of the boats, personal flotation devices (life vests), and support with the shuttle. Check out their website for FAQs - https://smokymountainriveradventures.com/nc-rafting-faq/

They also have a waiver - you're welcome to complete it and either bring a copy or email it to us. We'll also have some on the bus if you forget. 

Smoky Mountain River Adventures will provide the boats, personal floatation devices (life vests), and optional helmets. If you are bringing your own boat you we're assuming you're bringing your own gear too. Please contact us if that is not the case. 

Lunch: We will be providing assorted sandwiches and salads at the take-out after we finish paddling. We've taken into account dietary restrictions if you told us about them.

What to wear: Shoes that stay on your feet well (preferably closed-toe), sun protection, and otherwise clothes that can get wet!
